Partnering with our community and serving East Texas nonprofit organizations to sustain and grow communities of excellence.
In November of 2000 United Way of Smith County identified the need for an education/training resource center to foster excellence in the nonprofits throughout the East Texas Area. Understanding the scope of the need, they implemented the Nonprofit Development Center to serve 14 counties in East Texas. Operating now as EAST TEXAS CENTER FOR NONPROFITS, the center continues to provide resources throughout our East Texas 14 county service area.
Each day in East Texas, hundreds of people with significant and varied needs seek out services from area nonprofit agencies. Also, every day in East Texas, nonprofits with significant and varied training needs reach out to the East Texas Center for Nonprofits for support. Responding to that need, we provide a yearly training schedule as well as a full menu of services.
Following our mission to serve East Texas Nonprofits we are here like Aaron was to Moses "holding up their hands" as they navigate the mission they have to offer valuable services in our communities. Our priority remains providing the EAST TEXAS area nonprofit community with resources, information, training, personal coaching and tools to help them be successful.
